St. John’s Ivyland offers a wide variety of Musical opportunities. Children and adults are invited to participate in musical groups of varying styles and skill levels, or provide support to help and serve the Music Ministry. Consider serving on our AV team, helping our music director with sheet music organization, or caring for our choir robes.
All choirs at St. John's are open to anyone, young and old(er) who love music. There is no formal audition, and your participation in our Music Ministry is welcomed.

Musical Groups
PRAISE BAND:
Our Praise Band leads our 9 a.m. contemporary worship service Sunday mornings. Singer and instrumentalists (guitar / percussion) are invited to join us. Rehearsals are held every Tuesday from 7 – 8 p.m. Adults and youth are invited to participate.
ADULT CHOIR:
The adult choir sings every week during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. College students are encouraged to become members of the choir. Anyone with some music experience is welcome in the choir. There is no audition. The adult choir rehearses on Thursday from 8 – 9:30 p.m.
RING OF FAITH:
Our advanced bell choir rings every month, and rehearses every Thursday from 7 – 9:30 p.m. Music experience/reading is a requirement.
CELEBRATION RINGERS:
This bell choir is for adults who have a desire to ring in a choir with limited playing and rehearsing Music experience/reading is a plus, but not required. Rehearsals are typically held on Mondays.
GENesis BELLS:
GENesis Bells is a multi-generational choir of youth (grades 6-12) and adults. The GENesis Bells Choir rehearses on Sunday from 5:15 – 6:15 p.m., and rings on the second Sunday of every month at the 10:30 a.m. worship service. No previous experience with handbells is necessary. Basic music knowledge is a plus, but not required.
YOUTH CHOIR:
The youth choir welcomes youth in grades 6-12. The youth choir sings in worship services on the second and fourth Sunday of every month. The Youth Choir rehearses every Sunday from 6:15 – 7:15 p.m.
New members are always welcome.
CHILDREN’S CHOIR:
Children grades K-5 are invited to be a part of Joyful Voices. Children learn songs and sing in worship services. Joyful Voices sing on the first and third Sunday of each month, and at special services throughout the year. Joyful Voices rehearse for 30-45 minutes every Sunday after the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
HOLY HANDBELLS:
This handbell choir is for children in grades 3-6. Rehearsals will be announced if there is enough interest.
